Summer Shipping Policies

We highly suggest the "hold for pick-up" option with The USPS for all shipment from May to October.
Hold For Pickup service provides you with the convenience of picking up shipments on your availability, with an assurance that your shipment are in a secure and safe environment.
Your chocolates spend less time in the delivery truck and are not left out in the elements.
This really help keep you chocolates from melting.
Your chocolates will be held at your local Post Office and not left at your door.
You will be notified by the Post Office when you chocolates arrive.
Please request this service under special requests while checking out.
For warmer climates we may contact you and request that you use this service.
We suggest adding ice packs to your chocolate orders from mid-April until October.
We have 2 ways to add ice packs to your order.
Option 1 - (This option is available on some of our items. We are slowing removing this option from our site as it is confusing.)
Some items will ask if you would like to add an extra ice pack as you are selecting your items.
This option will add one ice pack for every item ordered.
If you want to order more than one of the same items, please order one with an ice pack, then add the remaining items without the ice pack option.
Option 2 - (less confusing)
At check out, you will see under the cart a link to add an ice pack to your cart.
If you want to order more than one ice pack, you can do that in your cart once one has been placed there.
You can also search "ice Pack" in the "search our store" and place the ice pack in the cart from there.
Olde Naples Chocolate offers Standard Shipping with Priority Mail (2-3 days) & Expedited Shipping using Express Mail (Overnight) though we cannot guarantee that your product will arrive exactly in that time frame.
All standard shipping is shipped with the USPS from Florida. Please make sure that you include your PO Box number to avoid shipping delays.
All chocolate orders no matter what time of year they are placed, that are NOT SHIPPED, using Expedited Shipping are NOT GUARANTEED to arrive in perfect condition, ie melted. Please keep this in mind when selecting your shipping method. We DO NOT give refunds for melted chocolate.
We suggest all orders placed from April to October are shipped using Expedited Shipping.
All orders placed between May and October will be shipped with an ice pack.
Orders are generally processed for shipment within 2 business day excluding weekends. By choosing expedited shipping will not increase the speed in which you item are shipped.
We want your chocolate to arrive in beautiful condition and do not like to risk it sitting overnight in a truck or warehouse on its way to your doorstep therefore, orders received AFTER 12:00pm noon EST on Wednesdays will ship the following MONDAY. We do not ship on Friday, and cannot guarantee MONDAY deliveries. Someone should be available to receive shipments of chocolate.
If possible, have your products sent to a business rather than home address.
Chocolates must be stored in a cool (less than 72 degree F) dry place away from direct sunlight. We are not responsible for any damage to product that results from improper storage.

Olde Naples Chocolate is not responsible for packages that are returned as undeliverable, lost packages or packages damaged by the elements after delivery.
If a returned packaged needs to be reshipped, an additional shipping charge will apply.
Every item we sell is carefully inspected before it is shipped. If merchandise is defective or damaged upon receipt, please contact us immediately after your package arrives.
Shipping charges will not be refunded.
Q. How long does it take to get my chocolates?
A. All of our chocolates are made when we receive your order. Depending on the size of your order it may take up to 5 days to process your order, although, most orders are shipped within 1-3 business days of our receipt of the order, Monday through Thursday.
Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico customers must select a USPS Express shipping service.
Q. I need my chocolate by a certain date, how will I know if it will arrive in time?
A. Upon checkout you may indicated when you would like your chocolates delivered. You can also indicate a specific date you would like them to arrive. Please use the "Additional Information" box for your instructions.
Q. I am having a destination wedding, where should I ship my favors?
A. If you are shipping your chocolates to a destination location, please check with your hotel for their exact mailing address. Many hotels have a different address for mailing than their actual physical address. If you are planning on shipping your items to a rental property, again check with the rental agent for the correct shipping address. It is best if you are working with a wedding planner to have everything shipped to them.
Q. I don't see exactly what I want on the web site, can I place a special order?

Q. How are my chocolates shipped?
A. We ship all of our chocolates by the US Mail using priority service. Most orders will arrive within 2 days of shipping. We will email a tracking number once your item has shipped. If you do not receive your item, please check your tracking information.
Please make sure if you use a PO BOX that information is included with your shipping address.
Olde Naples Chocolate highly recommends shipping to a location where there will be an individual to receive the package at the time of delivery. USPS will leave packages on porches and doorsteps which, consequently, may expose them to heat and sunlight. Olde Naples Chocolate will not be held responsible for any merchandise that has perished or melted because no one was around to receive the shipment.
Q. Does Olde Naples Chocolate ship in the summer?
A. We take pride in shipping chocolate all summer long. We use special packing materials (ice packs and insulation) to keep your candy safe from heat and humidity.
We highly recommend using Express Mail (next day) shipping in from May to October to reduce the time in transit.
Because the ice packs only last for 1 - 2 days we only ship heat sensitive candy Monday through Thursday. This is to ensure that your package does not sit in a hot USPS hub over the weekend. This also means that if you select an expedited shipping method you may not receive your order until the following week depending on when the order was placed.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover card and PayPal. Please allow up to an extra 2 weeks for us to process orders placed by check or money order. We also take order over the phone. Call to place special orders.
